Holiday Shopping Guide on Cape Cod
Glassblower’s Christmas
Seasonal Strolls
In early December, Chatham goes positively Hallmark,
when the Chatham Christmas Stroll takes over the town.
Count on caroling, commemorative mugs, a beautifully lit
tree at Sears Park, festive offerings from local businesses,
and Santa’s grand entrance aboard a 昀椀re truck. Horse and
carriage rides around the charming downtown add to the
holiday nostalgia.
Historic downtown Sandwich Village is not the North Pole,
but it’s a fun dupe during the Sandwich Village Stroll in
December. Imagine Rudolph nipping at your nose and
snow昀氀akes in your eyelashes as you wander the quaint
shops and galleries on Jarves Street, closed to traf昀椀c for
the event. The street will be a-twinkle with holiday magic,
including live music, community caroling, family activities,
seasonal treats and beverages, and festively decked-out
local businesses.
Downtown Falmouth transforms into a holiday wonderland
in early December, for the Falmouth Holidays by the Sea.
Main Street morphs into a pedestrian promenade, and
shops stay open late, aglow in seasonal 昀椀nery. The village
green comes alive with community caroling, holiday lights,
a costumed road race, and a boat arrival from the Jolly
Old Elf himself—a real small town Christmas celebration.
Once your holiday shopping spree is complete, make time
for the annual Falmouth Christmas Parade on Sunday

afternoon.
Would Provincetown miss an opportunity to celebrate? You
bet your ugly sweater it wouldn’t! Witness Holly Folly, a
festival of performance art, exquisite dining, and dazzling
gifts from the town’s unique boutiques and galleries along
Commercial Street. It’s the country’s largest and oldest
LGBTQ+ holiday celebration (launched in 1997) and it takes
place in early December.
Meanwhile, in Mashpee, the highly-anticipated Mashpee
Chamber Annual Season of Illumination Parade takes
place on the second Saturday in December. Always a
festive destination, Mashpee Commons rings the Ho-HoHo to the holiday season with a tree lighting, visits from
Santa, crooning carolers, decorated eateries, the works.
The shops are full of cool items, making short work of your
