Holiday Shopping Guide on Cape Cod
Merry Markets
Hyannis Harbor is always a happy place, and it’s especially joyful in early December,
when Love Local Fest celebrates the season, hosting 100 Cape Cod merry makers,
artists, artisans, farmers and local businesses at waterfront Aselton Park. Held
the same Saturday as the Hyannis Main Street Stroll and illuminated Harbor Boat
Parade, you’re sure to 昀椀nd a treasure or two.
For that European Christmas Market feel, don’t miss the Canteen Holiday Market.
Starting the day after Thanksgiving and running through New Year’s, this beloved
Provincetown haunt transforms into a sweet little holiday village. Think fairy lights,
昀椀re pits, cozy blankets, and steaming mugs of holiday beverages. Shopping
has never been so indulgent! And the goods are true goodies, created by local
woodworkers, jewelers, painters, leatherworkers, you-name-it. Each day of the
market highlights 25 local makers.
An exquisite handblown ornament from the Sandwich Glass Museum is sure
to be a hit under the tree. From mid-November through December, the annual
Glassblower’s Christmas is a festival of sparkly gorgeousness, with a forest of
trees bedecked in ornaments galore, each lovingly created by a local artist. Bring
home their keepsake ‘ornament of the year’ for your tree while you’re at it.
